Abstract:This is an agreement between the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway and the Colorado and Southern Railway. It lays out the agreements about the Joint Line, The Double Track and Burlington Railroad.

Biography / History

1915 March 1 - First agreement between ATSF and C&S Railroads.

1918 Oct.1 - Informal “Double Track Agreement” reached.

1926 Mar. 27 - Agreement reached between Colorado and Southern and the Chicago, Burlington & Quincy Railroad Company. (Burlington Agreement)

1936 Feb. 26 - Formal “Double Track Agreement” signed.

1937 March 8 - “Double Track Agreement” approved by the Interstate Commerce Commission.

1940 March 1 - First agreement expires. Extended by letter of agreement.
