7 Lewis Street, Castle Rock, Colorado. 1 photograph : Halftone image. "Reistle" written in bottom right corner of print. Residence of G.A. Triplett, 7 Lewis Street, Castle Rock, Colorado. Photo shows two large white clapboard houses. Two-story house in the foreground has a white picket fence. Two people are standing near the front door. There is a steeply pitched hipped roof with a dormer and two chimneys. The first and second story windows are double hung. There is a bay window in the rear on the left side (looking at the front door) of the house. Three steps lead up to the front door. Small pines are planted throughout the yard. The house next door is similar, with two stories, a steeply pitched roof and a bay window. There does not appear to be a dormer on the second house, but there are porches at the front and back doors. Triplett was active in Douglas County politics the beginning of the twentieth century, having served as County Judge, County Treasurer, a member of the Castle Rock Town Council, and Clerk of the District Court. |
