Description 1 photograph: Flood damage to Dawson Butte, a large hill or mountain near Larkspur, Colorado. Erosion scars are clearly visible on the side of the butte. A tornado and cloudburst in the area of Dawson Butte was the beginning of the storm that eventually caused millions of dollars of damage and the loss of several lives in the Denver metro area in the 1965 flood that affected the front range of Colorado. View of the butte is looking to the north.
