| Description |
William, Flora, Forrest and Emerald Wheeler and Hattie Whittier. [Post office in ranch house at Case Whittier Ranch]. William Wheeler -- Flora Wheeler -- Forrest Wheeler -- Emerald Wheeler -- Hattie Whittier. Case post office on the Whittier Ranch. The building is made of stone with rough grout. Two double hung windows are on either side of the covered doorway. A small sign reads "Post Office." The doorway is framed with sidelights and a small porch structure. Strings for growing vines are clearly visible on the windows. The man and the two boys are holding hats, the women are in long dresses. A flowering plant hangs in the window, and a houseplant sits on the porch. The house was built in 1875. |
