[Rising floodwaters near the Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Depot west
of Sedalia]
by Elder, Bobbie Campbell
1965
Floodwaters rise in the area north of Highway 67 just outside Sedalia. The Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Depot, converted for use as a house and moved to Douglas Avenue, is centered in the photo, and fairly close to the rising water. Other buildings in the photo are already surrounded by flood waters. The damage occurred as the result of the June 1965 flood of Plum Creek.
